You're a Super Muma to?
Louis - 10 months
What has your son taught you in the last few months?
To slow down. Pre Louis, I was always in a rush and now I'm (slowly) learning to be in the moment and take it all in. The crazy organized freak in me still manages to be on time though... How, I don't know!
Who inspires you?
Little Louis, every single day. Watching him learn and grow inspires me to be a better version of myself to make sure he has someone to look up to and be proud of.
My mum also inspires me, now as a mother myself I realize how hard it must have been to work seven days a week and support two children without us ever feeling like we were missing out on anything. The strength mothers have is amazingly inspiring.
You are currently on maternity leave from being a fashion designer for Witchery Womenswear. What a fun job! How have you found the transition to being a muma? Are you missing work?
Yep it is a really fun job! Tough. But super fun! I was actually really nervous about stopping work as I have always been a crazy busy, organized (some may say obsessive compulsive!!) person and I was scared about being at home and being bored! Ha! Once Louis was born he was not boring at all and he kept me super busy. He still does! Luckily he was born in the summer so we were outdoors a lot and keeping active so the transition slipped by without me thinking about it too much. I think it was a few months until I stopped asking for sales reports though 😜
I do miss work, I miss the fast pace and excitement of my job but I am also enjoying this special time with Louis as I know it won't last forever!
What is your biggest fear?
Spiders and birds.. Bird eating spiders would have to be the worst thing I can ever think of!
What are the key pieces of advice you have for other super mumas out there?
Have fun! I love to dance and sing and generally be crazy with Louis all the time, I give it until he is about 4 that he will start to be mortified by my behavior so I'm enjoying it while he still thinks I'm hilarious.
Trust your instincts, only you know your baby, it's easy to get caught up in what you should be doing and sometimes it takes a while before you get your groove but I always say if the baby is alive and happy at the end of the day then I have done something right!
What is your best beauty tip?
Coconut oil as a hair mask and illuminator/highlighter - distracts from the dark circles.
Never again will I....
Yesterday I ate a whole block of chocolate so I said I would never do that again...never say never though!
How can we find you?
