You're a Super Muma to?

Alexa, she’s 3.

What has your daughter taught you in the last few months?

That dressing a 3 year old is harder than a 30 year old.

Who inspires you?

Definitely the women in my family, they are super tough.

My mother Mandy is definitely my biggest inspiration. She is smart, stylish, funny and a great mum!

Prior to your daughter you were a Secondary School Teacher. You recently launched your very own book ‘Your Parents Are Cool’. Can you tell us what your book is about?

My book compares life pre and post baby. It has lots of laugh out loud moments. It is illustrated by talented Melbourne artist Sarah Hankinson. It doesn’t mention mum or dad so it appeals to all types of modern families. It is the perfect gift for any new or expecting parent/s.

You now currently work at Scanlan & Theodore. This must be quite the change from teaching to fashion?

Yes! And a necessary one. Many people don’t realize how exhausting and difficult teaching is.

Scanlan Theodore is a great company to work for. I work with really amazing women who inspire me to be creative and keep me in touch with what’s trending, other than Dora the Explorer….  it also doesn’t hurt when it’s a beautiful product.

How do you keep a balance between your work life and life with your family?

It’s not easy that’s for sure. I just do what I can. Being a mum is so consuming so it’s important to make time for a few drinks with friends. It’s amazing what a good laugh can do.

What is your biggest fear?

Alexa turning into the18 year old that I was.

What are the key pieces of advice you have for other super mumas out there?

Try not to be too super. Do what works for you and don’t compare yourself to any other mums. Everyone has their own style of doing things.

What is your best beauty tip?

Red lips and good sunglasses.

Never again will I....

Probably have another baby. 1 is enough for me!
