At the tender age of 18, Sarah was discovered as a model. She moved to Sydney under contract, and then spent most of her career travelling the world and working for high-end fashion labels. A decade was dedicated to modelling on runways and shooting photo spreads for a myriad of editorial and advertising campaigns. Through visiting amazing places like London, New York, Germany and New Zealand, Sarah discovered a love for food culture she had never known. Exposure to so many different and exciting cuisines exhilarated her imagination.  Through adding a gorgeous spice rub to a piece of meat, she found you could really lift that dish to a new level. You could create art.


Those of you who followed Sarah’s journey on MasterChef Australia will see her passion and desire for knowledge has only intensified through working with so many talented others.


With a solid belief in the value of fresh, quality ingredients, Sarah promotes a balanced approach to food that embraces a little bit of everything we love to eat. Sarah’s energy and vivacity are proof that a passion for great food is a pathway to a fulfilling life.


The days of yo-yo dieting or sticking to unsustainable regimes are over, and in their place is a fresh perspective – not just on eating – but on living.  Sarah believes life is about enjoyment and fulfillment; neither of which can be achieved if you’re starving yourself of the good things.


Sarah's approach to good health incorporates a healthy balance of nutritious food and exercise.  



You're a Super Mama to? 

Yes , I am a proud mother to a beautiful little 4 year old boy Phoenix.


What has your son taught you in the last few months?

Phoenix has taught me to live in the moment.  No matter how busy I am I like to take time out with him to just play.


Your son is gorgeous and has the cutest style! Can we feature him as one of our ‘Groms with Style’?

Yes absolutely!



Who inspires you?

I am extremely inspired by the Beckhams.  I love the empire that both David and Victoria have built while maintaining that bond with the family, always seeing them both at the kids soccer matches to then front row at a runway show.  It really is a balancing act, but when you get it just right then it really is a magical thing.


How do you keep a balance between your work life and life with your family?

For me it is all about being present, it took me a while to learn but when it’s family time it’s time to shut off from work and enjoy that moment.  Then when it’s work time, to focus and get things done.


You started modeling at the age of 18 and traveled the world! Is this how you discovered your love for the food culture?

Yes, I was impressed with the food culture that I saw in different countries, as it wasn’t something I grew up with in Australia.  It inspired me to learn more and experiment with it myself.  When I had my son Phoenix I realized that food isn’t just about throwing something in your mouth to curb the hunger pains, it’s about fuelling my son’s body to help him to grow up strong and healthy.


Did you love being on MasterChef Australia? I can imagine it would’ve been quite the challenge?

I am quite the competitive person; I have two older brothers that I was always trying to keep up with so when I entered MasterChef, I put a lot of pressure on myself to do well. Honestly though, I really do enjoy a challenge.



What is your biggest fear?

I am an adrenalin junkie so I am willing to give anything a go. 


What are the key pieces of advice you have for other super mamas out there?

As a Mum, we want to establish healthy eating habits early and new Mums in particular need to look after themselves by fuelling their bodies with nutritious food packed full of flavour.  Weeknight meals don’t have to be complicated.  I find I’m smarter about food preparation and choosing quick, simple and nutritious weeknight meals means less stress at meal times.


What is your best beauty tip?

Nourishing from the inside.  I always cook a hearty breakfast.  I truly believe breakfast is the most important meal and it sets you up for healthy habits throughout the day. 



What's in store for 2015?

2015 is an extremely busy time for me and you’ll have to watch this space because I am about to announce something very exciting that I am working on in the coming months.  Still pinching myself ;)
