Our super mama this week is Andrea; a positive and pragmatic soul that is simply a joy to speak to and refreshingly honest.
Her blog is stunning, taking influence from her travels all over the globe, with lots of interesting pieces and so much colour!
What an inspiration. I think it’s time for my next holiday… enjoy!
You're a Super Mama to?
She is adorable! What has she taught you in the last few months?
She’s taught me to take more time to make art. I always love doing it, but never set time to do it, she’s good at reminding me that it’s important.
Who inspires you?
I take in a little bit of inspiration from all the people around me. My husband inspires to me keep focus. My mum inspires me to be strong. Marlowe inspires me to have fun. And my dogs inspire me to lay on the couch with my feet up forever.
How do you keep a balance between your work life and life with your family?
I struggle with it. Working at home helps — and doesn’t help. I’ve quickly learned how to separate the two though. Yes, my family is part of my blog, but in no way do I manipulate our lives to fit my work. We live and then I work. It’s a good balance.
What is your biggest fear?
Death. Morbid, right? But the older I get, the more fearful I am. I love my life, my family, my home. I don’t ever want to think about leaving all the stuff I love so much.
Your blog and ethos is beautiful, with wonderful imagery. How did you come up with the idea for your blog?
As mentioned, I like to live than work (or write). My blog really just reflects our everyday life— with a few diy’s and recipes in-between. Our life just happens to be super colorful and delicious— and tropical too ;)
What are the key pieces of advice you have for other super mamas out there?
Life is short. Don’t get caught up in the crap. Focus on the good things and your life and those things will flourish.
What is your best beauty tip?
A healthy diet— it does wonders for your hormones, skin, hair, weight, everything. Also: apple cider vinegar. I use it as conditioner.
Never again will I....
What's in store for 2015?
Travel, I’m headed to india in a few short days. I’m turning 30, hooray! My cookbook is coming out later in the year. Other than that I’m just working on ways to team up with a few non-profits and hoping to travel more.
How can we find you?
